Jr. Walker & The All Stars – Sax Appeal (1976) LP Review
Soul Records 1976 – S6-747S1
notes:
Released in 1976 on Soul Records, Sax Appeal finds Jr. Walker & The
All Stars
riding the late-70s wave of funk-infused soul while staying true to
their
signature sound: gritty rhythms, smooth grooves, and Junior
Walker’s
unmistakable tenor saxophone lead.
Junior Walker (born Autry DeWalt Mixon Jr.) was one
of the most iconic saxophonists in R&B, known for
his blistering tenor lead and crossover soul hits.
