This album marks one of the Ramsey Lewis Trio's early sessions at
Rudy Van Gelder's famous Englewood Cliffs studio after recording
previous albums in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles.
The only personnel variation from the working trio is bassist
Christopher White, who substitutes for Eldee Young on tracks 1 and 7.
The repertoire mixes originals by Ramsey Lewis and Eldee Young
with compositions by Cannonball Adderley, Charles Lloyd,
Dave Grusin, and Doc Pomus.
