 – Stretching Out captures the young Chicago trio at the beginning 
of its remarkable career. Blending hard bop, blues and gospel influences
 with Ramsey Lewis' lyrical piano style, the album features bassist 
Eldee Young and drummer Isaac "Red" Holt. This article explores 
the complete track listing, recording session, musicians, historical 
background and the collectible value of this early Argo Records jazz LP.
