Jackie Ivory – Soul Discovery (ATCO SD 33-178) Rare 1965 Soul LP Review
Atco Records 1965 – SD 33 178
notes:
Released by ATCO Records in 1965, Jackie Ivory – Soul Discovery
is one of the lesser-known but highly desirable soul LPs of
the mid-1960s. Combining deep Southern soul, rhythm & blues,
and gospel-infused vocals, the album showcases Ivory's powerful
voice and emotional delivery during the golden age of American soul music.
Although overshadowed by larger ATCO stars, Soul Discovery has
become a favorite among collectors seeking overlooked gems from
the classic soul era. Original mono and stereo pressings
remain scarce and increasingly sought after.
