Illinois Jacquet at his most soulful and powerful. Long celebrated

for his raw, blues-driven tenor saxophone, Jacquet rides the wave

of late-60s soul jazz without losing the swing and fire that made

him a legend. This session blends big-band muscle, organ-soaked

grooves and extended improvisation into one of the strongest

albums of his later Prestige years.
