Don Patterson – Mellow Soul (1967)

Don Patterson – Mellow Soul (1967, Prestige Records)  Soul Jazz Album Review

Don Patterson Mellow Soul album cover 1967 Prestige Records

Prestige records  1967‎– PRST 7510

notes:

Don Patterson’s Mellow Soul (1967, Prestige Records) is a soulful jazz
organ album that perfectly blends groove, blues, and hard bop elegance.
Recorded with an outstanding lineup featuring Cedar Walton and
Billy Higgins, this session stands as one of Patterson’s most accessible
and melodic recordings. Mellow Soul captures the warm, swinging
side of soul jazz while maintaining the sophistication of classic modern jazz.
